Trump hates democracy. He hates the rule of law. He hates the values on which America was built. Increasingly, he hates this country because it doesn’t love him.

Trump knows the polls are not fake and he is behaving like he knows his power is about to end. Of course he will not accept that it is his fault. So, he is punishing us.

Hitler was obsessed with building a gigantic gaudy ballroom. In his final days Hitler, like Trump, knew he was losing and he took it out on his own country. Hitler never accepted that he failed Germany.

He felt that Germany had failed him. So he destroyed much of Germany’s infrastructure, not to deny it to the Allies, but to punish the German people for letting him down. Like Hitler, Trump is dismantling America piece by piece.

Even before the Iran war Trump’s provocations, insults and trade wars destroyed the world’s trust in America. He ruined our foreign policy. Our word is now worth nothing. Our military is weak.

Under Trump, the US national debt surpassed $40 trillion for the first time ever — more than double what it was a decade ago.

Trump’s only pleasure in life comes from dominating other people and he is trying to stick his name everywhere. Most of his time is spent thinking about his construction projects.

But so far there is not much construction, mostly destruction. We have holes where the ballroom and arch are supposed to be. The South Lawn is ruined as was the reflecting pool. Now he is threatening to demolish the Kennedy Center. There is also the gilding of statues and the horrific redecoration of the White House.

We can fix all of his bad taste, but it will cost a fortune of taxpayer money. We can’t fix the lives he took. What more will be coming? I think this is going to be worse than people imagined.
