State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Adande Samuel, 36, of Albrightsville, was charged with retail theft after police were called to Kinsley’s ShopRite store in Chestnuthill Township at 1:54 p.m. Sept. 5.

Police said a loss prevention officer at the store observed Samuel fill a container of chicken, rice and barbecued ribs in the hot food area of the store and leave the without paying for it. The loss prevention officer contacted Samuel in the parking lot of the store but he fled in a 2017 Ford F-150, police said.

• Police were called to a property in the 800 block of Smith Hill Road, Chestnuthill Township, at 1:39 p.m. Aug. 13 to investigate a theft incident.

A Saylorsburg man told police he discovered his orange Yardmax 32-ton log splitter was missing from his yard. Police said the man was unable to provide proof of ownership of the splitter, which he valued at $1,100.

There are no suspects in the case, police said, and a canvass of the neighborhood yielded no results.

• Police were called to Kinsley’s ShopRite store in Chestnuthill Township for a retail theft that occurred at 1:45 p.m. June 7.

Police said a loss prevention officer observed on video surveillance a white male wearing a ball cap, gray hoodie and gray sweatpants fill a shopping cart with seafood and leave without paying for the items. No vehicles were associated with the incident, police said.

Stolen were lobster, crab legs and shrimp valued at $181.78.
