Ali Wong, known for her standup specials and series such as “American Housewife” and “Beef,” leads the entertainment hitting local and regional venues over the next two weeks.

The actress/comedian, winner of multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards, brings her brand of comedy to Wind Creek Event Center. Wong, whose 2019 book “Dear Girls” addresses her daughters, voices the role of Lilith in Netflix’s upcoming musical film “Steps.”

Elsewhere, Penn’s Peak welcomes Carl Palmer and others, with “American Idol” finalist Jake Thistle set to play Mauch Chunk Opera House. Two Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, meanwhile, perform in the area: The Rascals’ Felix Cavaliere at the Sherman Theater and Beatle Ringo Starr at the State Theatre.

• “An Evening with Emerson, Lake & Palmer,” 8 p.m. Friday. Formed in London in 1970, the progressive rock group released nine studio albums through 1994. Drummer Carl Palmer and his ELP Legacy band perform alongside video performance of the late Keith Emerson and Greg Lake.

• Robin Trower, 8 p.m. Sept. 25. The English blues-rock guitarist recorded five albums as a member of Procol Harum from 1967 to 1971, scoring hits such as “A Whiter Shade of Pale” and “Homburg.” Trower, who briefly reunited with Procol Harum in 1991, released his latest solo album in 2025.

• W.A.S.P., 8 p.m. Sept. 26. Formed in Los Angeles in 1982, the heavy metal band — featuring founder Blackie Lawless — has released 16 studio albums. For this show, W.A.S.P. will perform material from its first four albums, which include 1984 debut “W.A.S.P.” and 1986’s “Inside the Electric Circus.”
