Panther Valley’s volleyball team, and the Pleasant Valley boys soccer squad, both remained unbeaten this season with wins on Tuesday.

The Panthers swept North Schuylkill, while the Bears blanked Allen.

The Northwestern cross country team took part in a Colonial League meet at Bangor.

Brandon Richards led the way for the Tigers, as he crossed the finish line second in a time of 16:09.

Teammate Noah Griffith also placed in the top 10, finishing in eighth.

Rosalia Nestor paced the Tiger girls with a top-five finish, crossing third in 19:53.

NW’s Emily Kistler was her team’s next best, and ended up in 15th place.

The Tiger boys posted a 6-1 mark, while the girls finished 4-2.

Lucie Nikoden recorded a meet best for the Bears, as she placed 11th. Her teammate Sara Brubaker crossed right behind her in 12th.

In the boys race, PV’s Lucas Franco registered a top-15 showing, earning 13th.

Four different players scored to help Northern Lehigh gain a 4-1 Colonial League victory over Palmerton.

The Bombers got on the board first when Chelsea Brown hit the back of the cage for a 1-0 lead.

The Bulldogs’ Addison Overhold knotted the game with a second-period goal, while McKenzie Chruscial and Fionna Jones both added third-period goals.

NL’s Adalyn Knecht finished the day’s scoring when she tallied in the final period.

Indians’ keeper Lillian Klotz finished with seven saves.
