The Monroe County commissioners approved the following items at their meeting on Aug. 19:

• Advertise for the bathroom renovations project at the Conservation District, and for budget hearings.

• Certificate — East Stroudsburg University in honor of its new University Center.

• Opioid Grants — AMZ Housing Solutions, $40,000, for rental assistance.

• Payments for items from the Hotel Tax funds — Stroud Area Regional Police Department overtime for Independence Day Parade coverage, $951.68; Monroe County Transportation Authority for bus service at the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania conference, $1,210.

• Payment from the Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction Fund in the amount of $8,000 for court-related office attendance at treatment court conference.
