Jim Thorpe’s tennis team opened the season with a victory over Tamaqua.

The Blue Raiders, however, gained a sweep in golf action defeating both Minersville and Pine Grove.

Jim Thorpe opened its regular season with a 3-2 victory over Tamaqua.

Noelanie Sepulveda, Anjali Chiulli and Ella Ramey all swept singles action to clinch the win for the Olympians.

The Blue Raiders, who won both doubles matches, return to action today against Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg.

The Olympians hit the road this afternoon for their first Colonial League match against Bangor.
