MVS: Moser makes his move
Veteran Jon Moser used patience and a well-timed move through lapped traffic to earn his first Mahoning Valley Speedway victory of the season Saturday night.
Brandon Christman led the Street Stock feature before the leaders encountered slower traffic. Moser took advantage, working his way past Christman for the top spot.
Adam Steigerwalt followed Moser through to take second, while Christman settled for third after spending much of the race out front.
Pro4
Bob Kibler went flag-to-flag to earn his second Pro4 victory of the season.
Kibler’s biggest challenge came from his son, Bobby Kibler Jr., who finished second to complete a 1-2 family finish.
The 20-lap feature went caution-free, marking the third consecutive Pro4 main event to run without a caution.
Hobby Stocks
Shayne Geist continued his strong run with his second consecutive feature victory and extended his championship points lead over Travis Solomon.
Solomon finished second, with Mike Sperlbaum third.
602 Modifieds
Nick Baer held off Max Pfeifer to capture his third 602 Modified victory of the season.
Baer remained composed under pressure from Pfeifer to secure another trip to Victory Lane. Cody Boehm finished third.
Junk Cars
Danny Cascioli and Kevin Behler split the pair of 30-lap Junk Car features presented by Old School Promotions.
Cascioli capitalized on a late incident involving leaders Todd Fulmer and Earl Paules to win the opener.
Fulmer and Paules became tangled in lapped traffic on lap 25, allowing Cascioli to avoid the incident and move into the lead. Wyatt Fulmer finished second and Paules recovered to place third.
Kevin Behler took advantage of late misfortune for his nephew, Lonnie Behler Jr., to win the second feature.
Lonnie Behler Jr. had controlled the race before slowing with a flat tire with five laps remaining. Kevin Behler inherited the lead and stayed out front to the finish.
Wyatt Fulmer again placed second, while Paules finished third.
Times News photographer Gavin Kester was on hand to capture all the action.
