Marian and Tamaqua highlighted Friday’s Schuylkill League golf action with victories at White Birch Golf Course.

The Colts rolled past Mahanoy Area, while the Blue Raiders picked up wins over Panther Valley and Pottsville.

North Schuylkill-Pottsville

Tamaqua picked up a pair of victories in a four-team Schuylkill League match at White Birch Golf Course.

The Blue Raiders posted a team score of 325 to defeat Panther Valley (359) and Pottsville (348), while falling to North Schuylkill (318).

Tamaqua’s Sam Vinc earned medalist honors with a round of 66. Jacob Fritzinger added an 81 for the Blue Raiders.

Panther Valley was led by Michael Demyanovich, who carded an 85, while Spencer Schirer followed with an 87.

North Schuylkill defeated both Tamaqua and Panther Valley, while Tamaqua earned wins over Panther Valley and Pottsville. North Schuylkill and Pottsville did not compete against each other.

Marian opened its season with a 304-342 Schuylkill League victory over Mahanoy Area at White Birch Golf Course.

Carter Grant led the Colts with a medalist round of 70. Patrick Bonner carded a 76, while Brayden Grant and Collin Yurkanin each finished with a 79.

Weatherly came up just short in a 327-332 Schuylkill League loss to Minersville at White Birch Golf Course.

Chance Stauffer led the Wreckers with a round of 77, while Eli Brown added an 83. Brad Connors and Jacob Hinkle each carded an 86 to round out Weatherly’s scoring.

Minersville’s Garrett Sukeena and Emma Troutman shared medalist honors with rounds of 74.
