State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 59-year-old woman from West Chester, a 17-year-old boy from Pottsville and a 17-year-old girl from Shenandoah were cited for trespassing on property along Trout Run Road in Union Township at 5:32 p.m. on July 26.
Police said they were called to the private property, which was posted with “no trespassing” signs, to investigate a report of trespassers.
• The window of a 2009 Suzuki owned by a 57-year-old Frackville woman was smashed between noon on June 30 and 11:48 a.m. on July 7 when it was parked on South Wylam Street in West Mahanoy Township, police said.

• Police said they recovered a stolen 2006 Nissan Altima along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township at 11:41 a.m. on July 24.
The investigation into the theft of the car, which was found along the highway’s southbound lanes, is ongoing.
• State police and the Schuylkill County Corner’s Office were called after an 81-year-old New Ringgold woman was found dead in her Chestnut Street residence just before midnight on July 25.
Police said that no indications of criminal activity was observed.
• An Amazon gift card scam that cost a 65-year-old Ringtown man $3,000 is under investigation, police said.
Someone asked the victim for money, which he sent via the gift cards, police said.
Afterward, the man learned that it was a scam.
