State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that happened on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Police investigated a two-vehicle crash at 3:28 p.m. on July 29 at mile marker 80.7 in Penn Forest Township.

They said a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling north when its driver attempted to make a lane change and the car struck a 2019 Volvo. Police said both vehicles came to rest on the shoulder of the road.

Police did not identify the drivers, but said the driver of the Equinox was issued a warning for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

• Sara M. Holland, 32, of Jim Thorpe, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 1:01 p.m. on July 28 at mile marker 60.1 in South Whitehall Township.

Police said she was driving a 2019 Tesla southbound in the rain when she lost control of it on the wet roadway and the vehicle struck the center concrete barrier.

She was issued a warning for failure to drive at a safe speed, police said.

• No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash at 4:30 p.m. on July 18 at mile marker 89.6 in Kidder Township.

Police said it happened when Adrian A. Phillips, 38, of Quincy, Florida, was driving a 2017 Volvo northbound and he lost control of it. The vehicle impacted the guide rail on the right side of the road. Police said the impact caused debris to strike a 2026 Dodge Durango driven by Avery F. Snell, 39, of Towanda, and a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Kelly A. McAndrew, 61, of Mountain Top. They were traveling behind the Volvo at the time. Police said the Volvo impacted a concrete barrier on the left side of the road. It was towed from the scene.

Police said Phillips was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

• Wen C. Meyers, 36, of Merion Station, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:10 p.m. on July 28 on the Turnpike, north of Forest Street in Penn Forest Township.

Police said she was driving a 2018 Subaru Outback southbound in a heavy downpour when she lost control of the car. It struck an embankment on the west berm, overturned completely and came to rest on its wheels.

The vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said Meyers was issued a warning for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

• John J. Vanegas-Diaz, 41, of Bath, was cited for turning movements and required signals following a two-vehicle crash at 4:55 a.m. on July 21 at mile marker 75.2 in Parryville. No one was injured in the mishap.

Police said he was driving a 2017 Freightliner northbound in the left lane when he proceeded into the right lane and the rig impacted a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Mitz John Del Mar, 29, of Philadelphia. The police said the rig entered an uncontrolled counterclockwise spin and struck the center concrete barrier before coming to rest with its rear portion against a rock embankment off the right shoulder of the road.

* Benjamin A. Szewczak, 26, of Whitehall, sustained suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7:12 a.m. on July 21 at mile marker 67.9 in Washington Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Northern Valley Ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

They said he was driving a 2023 Toyota Corolla northbound while negotiating the rain/water-covered highway when he applied his brakes in an effort to slow down, at which time he lost control of the vehicle. It impacted the embankment on the right side of the road before rolling onto its roof, coming to rest blocking the northbound travel lanes. The vehicle sustained disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene.

Police said Szewczak was cited for careless driving.

• Antonio Vasquez Romero, 34, of Norristown, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 5:21 p.m. on July 15 north of Forest Street in Penn Forest Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 1999 Ford Expedition during heavy rainfall when he lost control of the vehicle and it struck a guide rail off the right shoulder of the road.

The vehicle sustained heavy, front-end damages and was towed from the scene.

• Jamaul J. Brown, 24, of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, sustained suspected minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash at 9:31 a.m. on July 10 at mile marker 82.9 in Penn Forest Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel of the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

They said he was driving a 2005 International Harvester northbound when he failed to notice a vehicle that had slowed down in front of him. He swerved to the left, crossing the white skip line and left lane of travel, striking the center concrete barrier. The vehicle then slid back across the left lane of travel and came to rest in the right lane.

Police said debris from the crash struck the Harvester, a 2014 Toyota Highlander driven by Michael B. Weaver, 46, of Binghamton, New York; a 2006 Buick Lacrosse operated by Julia K. Metzo, 35, of Larksville; and a 2023 Ford F150 driven by John J. Judge III, 48, of Bear Creek Township.

Police said the Harvester, Highlander and Lacrosse were all towed from the scene.

They said Brown was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
