A New York man has been charged after striking a pedestrian Friday night in Mount Pocono.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police Chief Chris Wagner said police are investigating a serious injury motor vehicle crash that took place at 9:20 p.m. along Route 611 north of Knob Road Mount Pocono Borough.

Police determined Brian Predmore, 46, of Tobyhanna, was walking across Route 611 crossing from the western sidewalk to the eastern sidewalk and was struck by a motor vehicle operated by Marcelino Dinsay, 72, of Fresh Meadows, New York, who was heading northbound.

Predmore was flown to a hospital via MedEvac with serious injuries.

Dinsay remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation by the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.
