The Men of Marian, Marian Catholic High School’s booster organization now in its 36th year, adopted a record budget for the 2000-01 school year, pledging to raise $130,119 to support the school and its programs.

“Everyone in our organization is committed to providing our students, parents, teachers and administrators the ‘extras’ that the school’s operating budget could not afford,” said Lawrence Fritzinger, MOM president.

Among the major expenses planned by the organization is the cost of $25,194 that has been allocated to repaint the school’s gymnasium that is getting a new floor through other funding. Primary sources of revenue for the organization include the annual Men of Marian Picnic, the Hugh “Wink” Gallagher Memorial Golf Tournament, a Chinese auction and revenue generated through the school’s football program, including its football yearbook and game day concessions.
