Man fatally shot in Allen Twp.

A homicide that occurred Friday afternoon in Northampton County is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Major Case Team.

Around 1:48 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Old Gate Road in Allen Township for the report of a domestic incident at a residence.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a 27-year-old man had been shot. The suspect, a 25-year-old man, fled the scene in a 2023 orange Kia Forte, police said.

The Kia was spotted by troopers Near Race Street and Airport Road in Hanover Township. They activated the lights and siren of their marked patrol vehicle.

Police said the Kia fled and the troopers pursued the car, which eventually returned to the crime scene, where the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The victim was transported from the residence by Northampton Regional EMS to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m., police said.

Charges against the suspect are pending, according to police.

Neither the victim nor the suspect was identified by police in a release issued Friday evening.

Those assisting the Troop M Major Case Team in the investigation are the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office; Northampton Regional EMS; Troop M Forensic Services Unit; Troop M Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit; Troop M Bethlehem; and Belfast Patrol Unit.
