State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 20-year-old Walnutport man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 1:05 a.m. June 2.

He was stopped in a 2025 Chevrolet for several Motor Vehicle Code violations on Route 22 in Bethlehem, after which police determined he was impaired to a degree that deemed him incapable of safe driving.

• A 58-year-old Lehighton man is facing terroristic threat charges after police responded to a domestic incident involving a firearm at 2:34 p.m. June 23 on Crest Street, North Whitehall Township.

Police said the victim is a 52-year-old Northampton woman, who told police a verbal argument she had with the man escalated to a point where he pointed a shotgun at her head.

• Police responded to a report of an 86-year-old man in cardiac arrest at 12:38 p.m. July 6 at a property on Mountain Road, Washington Township.

They said Barry L. Berger was confirmed deceased by emergency medical services personnel.
