State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Alphonso N. Matos, 33, of Minersville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a one-vehicle crash at 1:19 a.m. June 28 on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township, police said. He and four passengers in the vehicle, including three children, ages 3, 7 and 12 were uninjured.

Police said he was driving a 2024 Hyundai Tucson south when it traveled onto the right shoulder of the highway and hit a guide rail.

The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• Adriane D. Schock, 32, of Tamaqua, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 9:16 a.m. July 9 on the Burma Road in Ryan Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Ryan Township Emergency & Rescue Squad to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville.

They said she was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger southbound when it left the road and hit a tree. The pickup continued south, making a secondary impact with a tree east of the highway.

Police said the Ranger had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Schock was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
