A six-run third inning proved to be the difference as Christmas City defeated Weatherly 10-0 in four innings Tuesday in the opening game of the Section 6 8-10 Softball Minors championship series.

Christmas City broke open a scoreless game with six runs in the third inning and defeated Weatherly 10-0 in four innings in the opening game of the Section 6 Softball Minors playoffs.

The winners collected 12 hits, including three triples. Roslyn P., Margot B. and Kali C. each delivered RBI triples during the decisive third inning, while Emory S. added an RBI single.

Roslyn P. tossed a four-inning no-hitter, striking out 11 and walking two.

Aubrey Clabia and Korah Gilbert both reached base on walks for Weatherly.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series is scheduled for Wednesday.
