July 6, 2009 — Chris Pilla, Mike Streisel, Ryan Palsgrove and Ty Rother all combine to pitch a one-hitter to lead Tamaqua to a 13-1 victory over host Valley View and a sweep in their best-of-three first round Schuylkill League playoff series. Pilla tosses the first three innings and the other three hurlers each throw one frame for the Blue Sox, managed by Jason Gerber. Streisel collects two hits, one a three-run homer, and knocks in five runs while Pilla and Rother both chip in with a pair of hits.
