June 26, 2011 — Dane Ciavarella pitches a three-hitter and strikes out eight to lead the Franklin Township Hurricanes to a 4-1 Keystone Senior Babe Ruth victory over the Towamensing Yankees. Ciavarella receives all the runs he would need in the second inning when the ‘Canes score twice on two walks, a hit batter and an error. FT adds another tally in the fifth when Darren Wanamaker singles, steals second and third and scores on a fielder’s choice grounder by Zach Knox. Tyler Svetik pitches well in defeat for the Yankees, giving up just three hits while fanning seven. Five Towamensing errors prove costly in the loss.
