The Emergency Medical Services Association-Carbon County has been notified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of Emergency Services, that several area residents have successfully passes the EMT-1 examination and are now certified EMTs.

They include Louis Banditelli, Gary Barkanic, George Barkanic, James Bonser, Gregg Boyle, Mary Deremer, Lynn Diehl, Michael Gayda, Harvey George, Randy Goodhile, Robert Gower, David Hosak, Jane Klementovic, Stephen Kopunek, Justine Kopunek, Stephen Koval, Frances Mayernik, Edward Smith., Bruce Wolfe and Peter Zawaly.

Robert Miller Jr., an instructor at the Carbon County Training Institute for EMTs, also passed the examination and was re-certified.
