Members and friends of the Carbon County 4-H program gathered at Camp Daddy Allen in Hickory Run State Park to celebrated the 25th anniversary of the camp.

Ray W. Reitz, Carbon County farm agent, was master of ceremonies for the program that was held in the camp’s dining hall, and explained Camp Daddy Allen was the original site of the camp and was utilized for many years before the campsite was changed to Camp Shehauqua, also in Hickory Run State Park.

Awards were presented to individuals who played significant roles in the camp’s success, including Naomi George, head cook, Lola Sebring, camp nurse, Marvelene Costenbader, handicraft instructor, and Cynthia Rudelitch, counselor and instructor.
