The 35th anniversary celebration of the Lehighton Lions Club was a gala affair and was attended by more than 100 members, their wives, guests and club officers last night.
The event featured an address by Curtis D. Lovill of Gardiner, Maine, first vice president of Lions International.
A highlight of the evening was the honoring of Frank L. Kirkendall and Carl Bishop, the only two living charter members of the club.
Robert Moyer served as program chairman for the event, which also saw James Mazzitelli installed as president. He will succeed Dr. Clyde R. Graver.
in addition to Moyer, committee members included Carl Ackerman, John Wehr, Ken Kostenbader and John Eckman.
