State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident they were called to at 9:59 a.m. May 5 on Scheller Hill Road, Polk Township.

They said the victim, whom they did not identify, reported someone placed a razor blade under the tire of his vehicle.

• Tyler Koch, 26, of Palmerton, was charged with fleeing and eluding police after an incident at 9:51 a.m. June 7 that started in the area of Gap Road and Red Hill Drive, Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said they stopped him in a 2004 Acura for multiple summary violations. He fled in his vehicle on Route 248 at a high rate of speed.

Police said they terminated the pursuit for public safety reasons but were able to identify Koch.

• Police are investigating the theft of a license plate off a 2006 Ford F-450 truck. The victim is a 47-year-old Kunkletown man.

They said the vehicle was dropped off at Forest Inn Automotive, Evergreen Drive, Towamensing Township, where police were summoned at 9:55 a.m. June 7.

• Police responded to a dog bite report at 2:39 p.m. June 11 on Greenway Lane, Polk Township.

They said a delivery driver told them he was bitten by a dog on his route. The driver had a small cut on his hand and calf from the incident.

Police said that due to the bite having occurred on private property, no violation occurred.
