State police at Frackville - crashes
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:
• A motorcyclist from Mahanoy City had suspected serious injuries after a crash at 1:48 a.m. June 10 on Catawissa Road, Walker Township.
Police said Mynor R. Cifuentes Gonzalez, 22, was transported by personnel from the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Miners Campus, Coaldale.
Police said he was operating a 2024 Yamaha north on Catawissa Road when he attempted to negotiate a right curve in the road.
The motorcycle entered the southbound lane and hit a 2019 International traveling south at the time.
Police said the motorcycle had disabling damage and was removed from the scene.
Cifuentes Gonzalez was cited after the crash, according to police.
• Justin Beckage, 39, of Archbald, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 10:55 a.m. May 30 on Interstate 81 in Delano Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the McAdoo Fire Company Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville.
Police said he was driving a 2025 Honda Civic southbound when it crashed into metal debris in the roadway.
They said Nicole M. Nocilla Beckage, 37, also of Archbald, a passenger in the car, was uninjured.
The car was towed from the scene.
• Glen Taormina, 39, of Coal Township, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:11 p.m. June 12 on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township.
He and two passengers, Jennifer M. Kreischer, 39, of Kulpmont, and a 14-year-old boy from Coal Township, were uninjured in the incident.
Police said Taormina was driving a 2018 Jeep Cherokee northbound when he lost control of it and the Jeep hit a guide rail along the shoulder of the road.
The Jeep had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
• Janessa N. Williams, 19, of Mahanoy City, had suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 5:24 p.m. June 10 on Tuscarora Mountain Road, Ryan Township.
Police said she was transported by personnel from the Ryan Township Emergency & Rescue Squad to the St. Luke’s Campus, Coaldale.
They said she was driving a 1996 Toyota RAV4 northbound when it left the road and hit a utility pole east of Tuscarora Mountain Drive and continued on, striking a traffic sign.
The RAV4 was towed from the scene.
Williams was cited after the crash, according to police.
