Monroe sells vehicles, two more to rebid

Monroe County sold five vehicles at auction, but bids for two more vehicles weren’t what the county wanted.

The commissioners ratified the bid awards for the online vehicle auction at their meeting on June 3. The vehicles and the net amount going to the county are as follows: 2013 Chevy Equinox, $875; 2008 Lexus IS, $2,400; 2009 Mazda CX-7, $1,050; 2018 Audi Q7, $13,000; 2012 Ford Explorer, $4,350. The two vehicles that did not meet the minimum bid requirements were a 2013 Ford Escape and 2012 Chrysler 200.

Jane Gagliardo, an East Stroudsburg council member, asked about the two vehicles that did not meet the bid amount.

Robert Gress, the chief clerk for Monroe County, said, “They will be rebid the next time they do the bids.”
