The Tamaqua Area School District will have registration for random drug testing under school district policy from 8-10 a.m. June 16 and 30 at the district athletic center.

Any student in seventh to 12th grades who intends to participate in any athletic activity, nonathletic club or organization, and any student who applies to park on school property will be subject to an initial random drug test.

In addition, any nonparticipant whose parent requests voluntary testing will be eligible to participate in the random testing program.

Students need to provide a signed parent consent form before participating on one of those dates. Forms will be available at tamaquaraiders.com and at the high school office.
