Franklin Township supervisors
Franklin Township supervisors approved the following items recently:
• Agreed to file a lawsuit against Parryville Site LLC to collect the $9,638 that is owed from services that were done by George’s Sewer and Drain Cleaning LLC for the blockage caused by Parryville Site LLC at the older Blocker Harley-Davidson.
• Data center ordinance and to set a hearing date upon recommendation of the Carbon County Planning Commission and Franklin Township Planning Commission and engineering comments.
• Will donate two school slow signs to Lehighton Area School District.
• Purchase of concrete blocks from Rock Hill Concrete, Parryville, for a total of $2,740.
• James Macort, KCE, as building code official.
• Terry Shaner to the planning board.
• Township fire police to assist with traffic control at the St. Luke’s Hospice Ride event to be held on Riverview Road May 30, with a rain date of May 31.
• Insurance authorization for the Franklin Township Fire Company to participate in the Lehighton High School graduation parade on June 8.
• Usage of Bunker Hill field for the annual Curious Kids Father’s Day picnic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 11.
• Insurance authorization for the Franklin Township Fire Company to provide standby services for the July 4 fireworks display at Sunny Rest Resort on July 4, with a rain date to be determined, if applicable.
• Insurance authorization for the Franklin Township Fire Company to participate in the PA250/July 4 Parade in Weissport on July 4, with a rain date of July 5.
