Walnutport Borough Council took the following action recently:

• Approved an invoice with Stellar in the amount of $18,276 for the clean out of 645 Leigh Gap St.

• Approved repairs to a 2001 tar buggy in the amount of between $10,000 and $12,000.

• Agreed to apply for a Grow Norco grant for a brand-new tar and buggy.

• Agreed to have Rinker Excavation repair a section of the 700 block of Washington Street at a cost of $8,200.

• Agreed to waive garbage fees for the two homes of the fire victims whose houses were a total loss.

• Appointed Marjorie Hedmeck to the Slatington Public Library board of trustees for a three-year term as Walnutport Borough’s representative.
