Emergency responders were on the scene of a reported drowning Wednesday evening in the Lehigh River near Bowmanstown.

The initial call came for an incident at mile marker 99 of the D & L trail.

The Lehighton dive team, and dive teams from Lehigh County were on scene, along with Pennsylvania State Police at Lehighton.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is leading the investigation.
