Schuylkill leader joins municipal firm
FSL Public Finance announced that Savas G. Logothetides has joined the firm as a vice president.
“Savas brings a strong mix of public-sector leadership and private-sector experience advising on economic development and financing initiatives,” said Michael D. Vind, senior managing director of FSL Public Finance. “His commitment to the community and deep experience in municipal operations and public-private partnerships will strengthen our ability to support our clients pursuing complex development and capital projects.”
Logothetides advises clients on structuring, negotiating and executing public, private and public-private financing strategies aligned with long-term capital and growth objectives.
He has comprehensive knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development programs, including the Multimodal Transportation Fund, Local Share Account, Keystone Communities, Main Street Matters, the Neighborhood Assistance Program and the Strategic Management Planning Program.
He also has worked with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to secure funding through the Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program and the Community Facilities Program.
Prior to joining FSL Public Finance, Logothetides served as executive director of the Pottsville Area Development Corp. and executive director for the City of Pottsville Redevelopment Authority, where he focused on fiscal sustainability, capital planning, grant integration and strategic redevelopment initiatives. He serves as chair of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce and is active in regional planning and development efforts.
Logothetides has owned and operated several restaurants in downtown Pottsville and The Wheel in Tamaqua.
