Schuylkill Co. committee voting was complimentary in nature
Complimentary votes were the order of the day on Tuesday when Republican voters from Times News area in Schuylkill County municipalities saw unopposed candidates on their respective ballots for positions on the party’s county committee.
Republicans
Local GOP candidates who were unchallenged in seeking to represent their districts on the county committee, and their vote totals, included:
Ryan Township, Clyde “Champ” Holman, 107; Coaldale East, Scott Gerber, 59; East Brunswick Township, Robert J. Bylone Jr., 177; Kline Township, Jerry Notaro, 134; New Ringgold, Larry Padora, 23; Rush Township East, David Argall, 125; Schuylkill Township, Gary Feathers, 82, and Christine Verdier, 83; Tamaqua First, Brian Connely, 79; Tamaqua Second, Mary Linkevich, 75; Tamaqua Third, Robert Coombe, 94; Tamaqua Fourth, Matthew Matukonis, 52; Walker Township, Nicholas Boyle, 100; West Penn First, Tony Prudenti, 199; West Penn Second, Larry Wittig, 99; and West Penn Third, Brian Miller, 137.
Five people sought alternate committeeman or committeewoman positions and were unopposed. They were: Carol Bylone, 181 votes in East Brunswick, Chuck Joseph, 126 in Rush Township East, Tyler Hope, 105 in Walker Township, Karen Wittig, 102 in West Penn Second, and Makenna Humes, 126 in West Penn Third.
