Carbon County Sheriff Dan Zeigler said Saturday that a complaint was investigated by his office and Carbon County Detective Jack Soberick and no criminal behavior was found.

On Thursday, the office posted of incident on its Facebook page, “The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office is aware of allegations concerning an employee of the Sheriffs Office and find them very concerning. We have no evidence to support this claim however this is not the type of behavior we expect from any of our employees.

The post continued that Carbon County District Attorney’s Office was notified and the anonymous poster was asked to contact Soberick.

Zeigler said Saturday, “My office and Detective Soberick spoke to the complainant. It was determined that there was no criminal behavior.”

He added, “The matter is being handled through and internal policy review that will likely result in changes to policies. It is a personnel matter and no further public comment will be made.”
