Baer shines at Mahoning

Nick Baer highlighted another full night of racing Saturday at Mahoning Valley Speedway Park by capturing the Modified feature at the quarter-mile facility.

Baer’s victory headlined a busy evening that once again featured packed racing action across multiple divisions.

Cody Geist raced to the Street Stock feature win, while Travis Solomon claimed top honors in the Hobby Stock division. Bob Kibler added a victory in the Pro 4 feature, and Marc Aigeldinger rounded out the night’s feature winners with a Late Model triumph.

Several drivers also earned heat race victories. Bobby Jones and Rod Snyder each collected Modified heat wins, while Jamie Smith topped the Street Stock field. Michael Wambold captured the Hobby Stock heat, with Kibler and Aigeldinger also recording heat race victories in their respective divisions.

The night continued another strong stretch for Mahoning Valley Speedway Park during the 2026 racing season, as fans once again filled the grandstands for a full program of weekly racing.

Times News photographer Gavin Kester captured all the action.

Following Saturday’s event, the track thanked racers, crews and fans on social media for “another amazing night of racing” while encouraging everyone to return for next weekend’s special program.

Mahoning Valley Speedway Park returns to action Saturday with “Spring Zing,” presented as Pocono Raceway Night. The event is scheduled to feature a 75-lap Modified main event paying $4,000 to win, along with Street Stock, Hobby Stock and Pro 4 competition.

Grandstands are set to open at 4 p.m., with racing scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Children ages 10 and under will be admitted free.
