Lehighton Area High School recently honored their students during its annual scholarship awards ceremony.

The event highlighted the strength and pride of the Lehighton community, and served as a recognition of the hard work, resilience, and impact students have made both in school and beyond.

This year, students were awarded a total of $355,069.01 in local scholarships, in addition to a ROTC scholarship valued at $193,000 and a Penn State University scholarship of up to $40,000.

Speakers noted that the honored students represent the diverse talents and strengths of the Class of 2026, describing them as scholars, leaders, volunteers, teammates, and role models who embody “Tribe Pride.” Students were encouraged to continue setting ambitious goals, remain involved in their communities, and pursue a variety of postsecondary pathways, including trades, military, two-year programs, and four-year degrees.

The ceremony also reinforced the school’s commitment to developing well-rounded individuals, encouraging underclassmen to get involved, explore new opportunities, and grow beyond a single area of focus.

The event concluded with appreciation for the staff, guidance office, and community partners whose year-round efforts make the scholarship program possible, as well as recognition of the families who support students along the way.
