House Bill 1970

House Bill 2177
The bill would amend all municipal codes by removing the “reasonable detail” language from statute, establish some guidance parameters for subjects that must always be described in the brief summary, and, most importantly, stipulate that if a municipality publishes a brief summary, along with the location of where a physical and electronic version of the entire proposed ordinance may be viewed, a presumption is established that the brief summary is legally sufficient.

House Bill 41
The bill would allow the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association to establish separate playoff systems and championships for boundary and non-boundary schools.

House Bill 72
The bill would provide new protections for tenants who are victims of violence by giving these individuals the option to terminate a lease and the ability to change the locks or means of entry to a housing unit. This bill would ensure victims have options and resources available to them when trying to end a violent relationship.

House Bill 830
Pennsylvania law requires schools to develop a comprehensive plan to address bullying. And while some schools do notify parents as part of their plan, the law does not require this. This bill would require schools to notify parents and legal guardians when their child is involved in or experiences bullying.
