Palmerton Democratic Club to meet Wednesday

The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Palmerton Pub, 304 Delaware Ave. (back room), Palmerton.

The featured speaker will be Christian Bartulovich, who is running a write-in campaign on both the Democratic and Republican tickets to run for representative of the 122nd District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

This meeting, which is free and open to the public, will be preceded by an optional social hour beginning at 5:45 p.m., with dinner served at 6:15 p.m.

As regional solutions manager overseeing field leadership and service strategies for Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey for Olympus America, which provides training and support for medical devices, Bartulovich has had experience in managing budgets and large multimillion dollar portfolios.

He was elected to serve as a supervisor in Penn Forest Township, and he represents the township on the Carbon County Council of Governments. He also coaches the Girls Varsity Soccer Program at Jim Thorpe Area High School, and leads the Jim Thorpe Youth Soccer Association.

This is the last PADC meeting before breaking for the summer.

Regular monthly meetings will resume on Sept. 9 at the Palmerton Pub.

The club’s Annual Potluck Picnic will be from 3-6 p.m. July 19.
