Chesnuthill Twp. upgrading park bathrooms Township taking military emblem bids
Chestnuthill Township park bathrooms will be getting renovated. John G. Membrino Construction was awarded the project at a cost of $64,154.
The township has started evacuation of bid bonds, bidders qualification and supporting documents.
Authorization was given to put out a call for bids for military emblems at the roundabouts on Route 209. The emblems will represent each branch of the military.
The Gilbert American Legion parking lot project will be extended until July. The money for this project came to Chestnuthill Township through a grant.
The American 250th Celebration Festival Committee made a donation request for the event to be held at the West End Fairgrounds on July 2 to 4. Using the 2025 Census, a 25 cents per capita donation was made in the amount of $4,177.
Summer camp will be held at the park on June 22 to July 31, for ages 6 to 12. A camp director and four counselors were hired. A few spots remain open for campers.
Attorney James Fareri received authorization to advertise for the Regional Comprehensive Plan, working with a consultant. The planning commission and supervisors will review the plan, then a hearing date will be set to adopt it.
Abigail Horvath, a junior marketing and finance major at ESU, was approved to do her internship at the township.
The West End Fire Company reported 41 calls for April and 152 calls year-to-date.
During public comment, resident Carl Larsen expressed concern about the conditions of properties at the intersection of Toll Road and Sun Valley Road. It was noted that the zoning officer is working on this issue.
