Lake Harmony Fire Chief Ralph Lennon spoke at Kidder Township’s supervisors’ meeting about Nicholas Fiorito, a certified EMT and firefighter who was in a serious motorcycle crash.
Fiorito had to be airlifted to the hospital and needed emergency brain surgery. He has a long road of rehabilitation ahead and a Go Fund Me campaign is underway.
At just 14 years old, Fiorito walked into the Lake Harmony Fire Company with a simple but powerful dream — to serve others. Over the next five years, that dream became his life. Through dedication, sacrifice, and a heart for helping people, Nicholas became a certified EMT and firefighter.
According to his Go Fund Me page, “By just 19 years old, Nicholas had already earned the rank of Lieutenant — something that speaks volumes about his character, leadership, and commitment to his community.”
Lennon said that “It’s miraculous that Nick was home within a week and stopped in to say hi to his fellow volunteers.”
Lennon also noted that Kidder Township is the busiest emergency services in Carbon County and we “hit the jackpot” with the quality of personnel and support of the supervisors.
