April 30, 1998 — The Northwestern boys and girls, coached by Scott Hippensteel, both sweep Saucon Valley and Wilson in a Colonial League tri-meet. Tiff Cougle captures three events — the 100, 200, 400 — to lead the Tiger girls to a 125-16 victory over Saucon and an 83-58 decision over the Warriors. Amanda Fick also claims two events, taking the shot put and discus. In the boys competition, four Northwestern athletes register multiple wins. They include Alan Czysc (400, 800), Mike Galdieri (both hurdling events), Daryal Hall (100, long jump) and Mike Kistler (shot put, discus).
