State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Matthew J. May, 26, of Blakeslee, was cited for restrictions on alcoholic beverages after a one-vehicle crash at 2:01 p.m. April 9 on Mountain View Drive, Polk Township, police said.

He was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Passat westbound, according to police, when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The car had minimal damage.

Police said May ran from the scene and had not contacted police. The car was towed from the scene.

• One driver was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 11:29 a.m. April 11 on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

Police did not identify the identities of the drivers, or their residences.

They said a 2024 Ram 1500 traveling north did not clear the intersection of Interchange Road with Spruce Hollow Road and struck a 2008 Toyota RAV4 that was southbound at the time.

Police said the Ram had minor damage, while the RAV4 had functional damage.

• The driver of a 2009 Lincoln that crashed at 3:17 p.m. March 24 on Steckel Road in Polk Township has charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance pending against her.

Police said the 71-year-old woman from Atlantic City, New Jersey, who was uninjured, was southbound when the vehicle left its lane of travel, went off the road and hit a tree.

The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Police said the woman showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody.

• Nicholas Z. Fiorito, 19, of Albrightsville, was injured after a motorcycle crash at 10:26 p.m. April 9 on Behrens Road, Penn Forest Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Penn Forest Township Soccer Field. He was then flown by helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

They said Fiorito was operating a 2008 Harley-Davidson northbound when it left the road while failing to negotiate a left curve.

The motorcycle struck a ditch and reentered the roadway. Fiorito was ejected, police said.
