Jacob V. Sweeney, 20, of Tamaqua, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed following a one-vehicle crash at 10:22 a.m. April 5 on Valley Road, Walker Township, police said.

He was uninjured in the incident.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Sweeney was driving a 2010 Ford Escape eastbound when he lost control of it while rounding a left curve. The vehicle crashed came to rest on its left side.

The Escape had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
