Lansford mayor found not guilty of harassment

Lansford’s mayor was found not guilty of harassment in district court in Tamaqua on Thursday.

Denise Leibensperger, who was seated as mayor in January, appeared for a summary trial before District Judge Stephen Bayer, who found her not guilty in the case.

The charge was filed by Tamaqua police and stemmed from an incident in which she reportedly video recorded a customer on Feb. 2 at Phong’s Nail Salon on West Broad Street in Tamaqua.
