Attempted homicide case involves ax, gun

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported details of an attempted homicide investigation they are conducting as a result of an incident they were called to on March 29.

Police said that around 6:15 p.m. that day troopers were dispatched to a property on Lentz Lane, Jackson Township, for reports of a shooting.

Through their investigation, police determined that a physical altercation involving an ax and a firearm occurred between two men.

Police said that non-life-threatening injuries were sustained by both individuals.

The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by a Troop N Major Case Team, in conjunction with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, according to police.
