April 10, 1985 — Pleasant Valley’s Pete Prior and Paul Frable combine to pitch a three-hit shutout as the Bears gain an 8-0 Centennial League victory over Lehighton. Prior goes the first six innings and finishes with two walks and eight strikeouts, while Frable tosses the final frame to complete the shutout. D.J. Mendal collects three hits and scores two runs to lead PV offensively. The winners also receive a pair of hits, one a double, and two RBIs from Steve Kresge. Tom Gill also collects two hits and two RBIs, with John Konowalik adding a pair of hits and an RBI.
