Fire companies from Schuylkill and Carbon counties responded Friday afternoon to a two-alarm working brush fire in West Penn Township.
The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. at a residence along Walnut Lane. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they found trees and thick brush burning.
Fire companies from Carbon and Schuylkill counties were then called out to a two-alarm working brush fire Friday afternoon in East Penn township. The blaze was reported just before 5 p.m. at 167 Municipal Road. When firefighters arrived on scene they found heavy flames along an embankment.
