Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Debra Rogers will continue to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Calvary Evangelical Church in Lewistown Valley. Special music will be provided by Terry and Darlene Gerber. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:45 a.m. The Sunday evening service is at 6:30 p.m.

The Wednesday evening prayer hour begins at 7 p.m.

St. Peter’s — West Penn

The Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s in West Penn is at 9 a.m. and will include a Joyous Noise offering. Adult Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m. The gift card fundraiser is due Sunday.

Tuesday is the deadline for the May newsletter. The prayer group meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

On April 16, the Cherub Choir meets at 6 p.m.

Thrift sale

The April Blessings Thrift Shop sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greenwood and Mauch Chunk streets, Tamaqua.

The sale features gently used spring clothing for all ages, toys, books and general household items. A limited takeout menu is offered.

If you have items to donate to the Blessings ministry, call the parish office at 570-668-2180 and someone will return your message. Items left at the church are discarded.
