April 9, 1965 — Dan Bock wins three events to help lead Lehighton to a 56-39 Lehigh Valley League track and field victory over Emmaus. Bock captures the shot put with a throw of 47-2, takes the high jump by clearing 5-8 and wins the pole vault with a mark of 11-6. The Indians also receive first from three others. Gene Semanoff claims the discus, Terry Snyder betters the field in the broad jump, while Ted Eckhart crosses first in the mile. Lehighton also wins the mile relay, which consists of Marv Reed, Dan Bonser, Rick Rehrig and Jay Christman.
