“Learn About Save Carbon County” will be the topic at the Palmerton Area Democratic Club’s meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Palmerton Pub (rear banquet room), 304 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.

The meeting is free to attend. An optional social hour and dinner will precede the meeting at 5:45 p.m. with dinner served at 6:15 p.m. The meeting will be called to order at 7 p.m.

RSVP dinner reservations and menu selections are requested to be texted to Marian Hoffner at 610-349-1697 by 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Brandon Fogel, a member of the Save Carbon County board, will be the featured speaker sharing the group’s overall approach to local environmental problems as well as their achievements to date.

Save Carbon County (savecarboncounty.com) is a civic nonprofit (501c4) organization in Carbon County whose focus is on saving the clean air, water and soil. It is committed to making sure that Carbon County is not filled with warehouses, polluted by chemicals, or ruined by development that replaces forests and threatens waterways.
