Vehicles damaged in Rt. 248 crash

Three vehicles were towed from the scene of a crash on Route 248 in Lower Towamensing Township.

Jesse D. Krum, 33, of Lehighton, Debra L. Hamburg, 68, of Palmerton, and Sally A. Dietz, 75, and Amanda L. Rouselle, 41, both of Nesquehoning, had minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash at 10:18 p.m. March 17.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said that none of them require emergency medical services transports from the scene.

Police said the crash occurred as Krum was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup northbound when he hit a patch of ice and lost control on a left curve. The truck then hit a concrete barrier on the north side of the road.

Police said Hamburg was driving a 2019 Nissan Versa and Rouselle was driving a 2021 Jeep Cherokee at the time. Both vehicles struck debris from the pickup crash and had damage that required them to be towed from the scene, police said. Dietz was a passenger in Jeep.

Police said that the pickup was also towed from the scene.
