Lehigh Carbon Community College and Aging Allies are hoping to help people who may be suffering with their mental health.

The Peace of Mind Health Fair will be held at the LCCC’s Morgan Center, 234 High St., Tamaqua, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 7. The event is held in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Amber Zuber, director of Site Educational Services for LCCC, announced the event during Wednesday’s Carbon County Collaborative meeting.

The event will provide individuals with a link to various groups who offer mental health support services in the areas of addiction/recovery, counseling/therapy, suicide prevention, health insurance assistance, spiritual guidance, Alzheimer’s/dementia, exercise classes, arts and crafts groups and musical interests.

The event is available to people of all ages.

Aging Allies is a government health insurance specialist located in Pottsville.
