The annual Carbon County Human Services Priorities Breakfast will be held in Lehighton next month.
During the Carbon County Collaborative meeting recently, the group discussed the upcoming breakfast.
It will take place on April 10 at the Lehighton American Legion Post 314, 314 Veterans Ave., Lehighton.
Commissioner Wayne Nothstein said doors for the event open at 8, with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the program beginning at 9.
This year’s breakfast, which typically hosts approximately 90 to 100 people representing many agencies throughout the county, will be about “Recruiting the Next Generation,” and will feature speakers sharing practical tools, strategies and ideas for recruiting, retaining and attracting local talent to strengthen the area’s workforce.
In addition, two Health and Human Services scholarships will be presented. Deadline to apply for one of the scholarships is Friday. Fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/240087670737058.
